Synopsis

Abracadabra by Alex Gutteridge

A series of graphic novels for 9-12 year olds written by well known authors. Pacy, well-plotted texts are integrated with black and white illustrations on every page, using comic strip conventions and cinematic devices such as panning shots, close-ups and flashbacks. The storylines are of high interest to the age group as well appealing to older readers, and combined with a stylish presentation they make Graffix a sophisticated and exciting read.

Reviews

'An excellent fiction series which combines well written stories by established authors with a comic strip presentation.'

About the Author

Alex Gutteridge was born in Leicestershire and has lived there ever since, earning her the rather dubious title of 'woolly back'!

Alex has a real fear of spiders, Maths and hermetically sealed packages but cannot get enough of raspberries, the colour Blue and swinging as high as she can go on her daughter's swing!
