Starway Station by Jane C. Clark

Zap and Astra live on Starway Station, a space-station cafe for interplanetary travellers. When they find an abandoned tadbrador on their space station, Astra wants to keep it. But will her mum agree? Starway Station is a book-banded reading book for more confident readers, carefully levelled at Lime Book Band for guided reading. Beautifully illustrated throughout, this 1,076-word fiction story is suitable for ages 8 - 9. Starway Station features a more demanding text with extended vocabulary and literary devices. Metaphor and technical language is introduced and illustrations no longer support the text directly. Starway Station! is part of Ransom Reading Stars, a structured programme for children learning to read. The series has fifteen levels: four phonics levels and eleven book band levels (Pink through to Lime).

About the Author

Jane Clarke is a full-time children's author and has had over 45 books published - including works used for children's reading schemes in schools and two books featured on Cbeebies' Bedtime Stories. Jane regularly visits schools throughout Europe to inspire children to read and write.
