Reviews

For the newly confident and, dare one say it, the newly reluctant reader. Walker breaks new ground with the Starters series. Printed throughout in two or three tones, including the text, these books are good to handle and look at, inside and out. The Times Educational Supplement

Leaving the best to last is... a series called Starters... perfect co-ordination of text and illustration, plenty of puns and a standing ovation for the surprise ending. Not to be missed! School Librarian
