Synopsis

The Bluecoats Blues in the Mud by Raoul Cauvin

The Blue and the Gray...and the Brown! While out on patrol, Blutch and Chesterfield encounter an unusual soldier: a woman wearing a Union uniform, who has come to join the army to look for her brother and uphold the family's honour. Blutch is unconvinced, but the sergeant, won over by the combination of bravery and a pretty face, agrees to help her. That, however, means taking her along for Captain Stark's demented charges - a prospect that could drive anyone to shirk their duty or desert...

About the Author

The Belgian-born author Raoul Cauvin enjoys continued success and is currently writing 11 different cartoon series. In 2006 alone, he had six entries on the bestselling new comics list in France, including Cedric - also published in English by Cinebook - and The Bluecoats. Also born in Belgium, Lambil published his first comic, Sandy, in 1959. He has drawn 45 volumes of The Bluecoats since taking over from Salverius, the series' original illustrator, who died in 1972.
