The History of World Religions Explore the Great Faiths That Shaped Our Civilization by Simon Adams

Perhaps the strongest single force to shape mankind's history and culture, religion is as prevalent and diverse today as ever. This comprehensive family reference book explores the incredible range of faiths and beliefs that have sculpted our society through the ages. Discover the stories and sacred texts that have inspired peoples around the world. Compare and contrast the answers that different religions offer to some of our most burning questions: what am I here for, how did the world come to be, and what is there waiting for us at the end?
