The Lovereading4Kids comment
Anne Cassidy is a real talent who is well on the way to hitting the big time. The story of my life is fast-paced, unputdownable and set within a short time-frame of just one night. Relationships are tested to the limit and a teenager’s world is brought to the brink. This is high wire stuff but an important addition to a teenager’s reading list. Anne Cassidy has also written the excellent Careless.

The Story of My Life by Anne Cassidy
The gripping new thriller from the Carnegie-shortlisted author, Anne Cassidy, "The Story of My Life" follows seventeen-year-old Kenny Harris through the longest night of his life. By the end of the evening, Kenny will have made a life-or-death decision, and there's no way he can avoid it. The stakes are huge, not just for him, his family and his girlfriend, but also for the man whose fate lies in his hands...It all starts when he bumps into Nat on the tube platform one chilly September Saturday. Nat. His brother's girlfriend. Gorgeous and definitely not available. But something is set in motion that day, something that leads Kenny back to the same tube station three months later and the start of that terrible night. Because it's also the day that he meets Mack. And his life takes a violent swerve in a completely unexpected direction. A simple, chance meeting that could destroy his whole world...
