The Lovereading4Kids comment

Shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2010. Winner of the Best Picture Book Award, One Smart Fish is both a beautiful foray into the glorious and brilliantly coloured fishy world under the sea and an entertaining and thought-provoking introduction to evolution. Deep under the ocean lives one very smart fish. He is not the most beautiful but he is very clever and very ambitious. Having conquered many things, he longs to be able to walk on the land and so creates an amazing way of doing so… which, so the pictures tell us, was emulated much, much later and led to the world as we know it.

Synopsis

One Smart Fish by Christopher Wormell

Long ago in the deep ocean, there lived ...one smart fish! He wasn't the biggest and he wasn't the boldest, but he was the cleverest. What this smart fish wanted more than anything else was to walk upon the land. But everyone knows that fish can't walk ...can they?
