July 2012 Book of the Month. Best-selling Sue Hendra tells how Keith the cat creates some magic of his own in this entertaining story about Keith who is suddenly able to do some clever tricks after an ice cream cone falls on his head. About The Author
Sue Hendra says:
"I graduated from the University of Brighton in 1994 and have been working as an illustrator of children's books since then. I've worked on over 70 titles now and I really enjoy it. I used to illustrate completely by hand but now I work on computer as well as painting. In addition to making books I run weekly art clubs for 8- 12 year olds at two of my local museums. I started this a couple of years ago and discovered that I really love working with children. I still live in Brighton and work in a shared studio with seven other artists."
Sue Hendra has made a name for herself creating picture books starring the most endearingly wacky array of characters.
Barry the Fish with Fingers made a big splash when first published in 2009, and has since sold over 100,000 copies.
Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell was the bestselling new picture book for the first quarter of 2011, and Keith the Cat with the Magic Hat burst onto the scenes in summer 2012.
Sue Hendra’s Simon & Schuster titles have reached almost 300,000 copies in the UK alone.
