The Lovereading4Kids comment

December 2013 Book of the Month This is a laugh-out-loud funny story - but, be warned, it doesn’t come quietly!
It tells the tale of Morris, a mouse for whom squeaking isn’t enough. He’d rather say ‘moo!’ In fact he’d rather say ‘moo,’ ‘quack,’ ‘baa,’ and ‘neigh,’ and he’s
only just getting warmed up! Young children will love to join in with the fun of this story as Morris proves that he is no mouse when it comes to standing up for himself in this noisy barnyard adventure. Colourful, zany and very funny, it's a tribute to all who dare to be different.

Win ticket to Gruffalo’s Child Live on stage plus 2018 Annual

Win a family ticket to see The Gruffalo’s Child Live on stage in the West End plus a copy of The Gruffalo and Friends Annual 2018.

Following hot on the heels of The Gruffalo’s monstrous success comes The Gruffalo’s Child - with attitude! Just how brave is she? Find out for yourselves by joining her in the West End this Christmas! The Gruffalo said that no gruffalo should ever set foot in the deep dark wood. . . One wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s Child ignores her father’s warning and tiptoes out into the snow. After all, the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist... does he?

Tall Stories returns, bringing Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s award-winning sequel to life in this magical, musical adaptation.

Synopsis

Moo! Said Morris by Jon Lycett-Smith

Morris is a little different, the only mouse in his clan not interested in squeaking. And it's getting him into trouble. I mean who ever heard of a mouse that said moo anyway? But when a local cat comes sniffing round it turns out another squeaking mouse is not what's needed.

Moo! Said Morris is the latest book by Jon-Lycett- Smith.

About the Author

Jon Lycett-Smith is an illustrator and writer who lives in Devon, England with his long time partner Charlie, his daughter Ivy and his two exceedingly odd cats, Edward Waverley and Ava Schwapps. He divides his time between writing stories and illustrating them, both of which he enjoys immensely. He has three published books to his name, all through Walker Books ltd, and is currently working on a whole heap of new ideas. He spent 8 years or so in the video games industry, but has recently escaped and is now getting back to his first love of telling stories with pictures.
