Tilly and her Friends have lots of fun playing hide-and-seek behind the sturdy flaps on every page.

The Tilly and Friends TV series, produced by Walker Productions and JAM Media and based on the picture books by Polly Dunbar, is currently airing on CBeebies, with 52 episodes in the series. Utterly charming artwork, delicious palette, gentle humour and winsome characters have deservedly made this a series of winners. This hugely successful series took the top prize for animated programs at the 2014 IFTA Awards in Dublin. The Annual Irish Film & Television Awards are the highlight of Ireland's entertainment and cultural calendar celebrating the very best of Irish screen talent across film and television.

Synopsis

Tilly and Friends: Who's Hiding? by Polly Dunbar

Tilly, Tumpty, Hector, Doodle, Pru and Tiptoe are playing hide-and-seek. Lift the flaps to find out who's hiding where! Every spread has a shaped flap to lift, with a charming and friendly character hiding inside!

This is one of two fun-filled, novelty board books accompanying the Tilly and Friends television series....the other is What's Everyone Doing?

A note from the author, Polly Dunbar. . ."I came up with the idea for Tilly and Friends years ago when I was house sharing in London. There were a lot of us living in what should have been a two bedroom flat. It was a chaotic and hilarious time in my life; all of us trying to muddle along together meant a lot of laughing but also tears. I wanted to capture this in the Tilly series. I think the stories show how it’s possible to get along together, even on those days when you’re feeling a little bit ‘bitey’ like Doodle! When I first wrote the Tilly stories I didn’t dream that they would become walking talking cartoon characters, I was too busy trying to make them work as books, that seemed enough of a challenge at the time. But it become clear to me as I began to come up with stories that I had many more ideas than would fit in just six books. Hopefully children will relate to Tilly and co as though they are friends. When I was creating the characters I had in mind that although they are animals they are also children, with all the same preoccupations as real children."
