So Much by Trish Cooke

The Lovereading4Kids comment

Selected by a distinguished independent panel of experts including our editorial expert, Julia Eccleshare, for Diverse Voices - 50 of the best Children's Books celebrating cultural diversity in the UK. Everybody wants to squeeze the baby, everybody wants to kiss the baby, everybody loves the baby so much! As each member of the family arrives at the gathering, the baby is given lots more attention - and then the party can begin!

So Much by Trish Cooke

Mum and the baby are at home, doing nothing spectacular, when the doorbell rings. It's Aunt Biba, and she wants to play with the baby so much. Then Uncle Didi comes, followed by practically the whole family, and they all want to hug and play with baby.

Eulogises urban Afro-Caribbean home life through tenderness and humour... a book to savour. TES

Trish Cooke's lovely lilting language and Helen Oxenbury's clever characterisation make it a book to smile over again and again. Books for Keeps

You give me age appropriate ideas of books I can read and buy for the children and find out what other children their age think of them too.

It’s so easy to find the right book for your child. Such an easy-to-use, yet in-depth website. 100% reliable.

I have told all my friends, family & teachers to see for themselves just how great the site is. Without fail, they are hugely impressed.

I am so pleased to have signed my kids up as they are reading a much wider range of books and even choosing books out of their comfort zone.
