The Lovereading4Kids comment

Pity the poor mum in this story who has to wrestle a very lively young dinosaur fan into bed. Her little boy knows just how dinosaurs behave, what they like (mess, rampaging), and what they don’t like (baths, pyjamas, milk); what’s more, he’s going to roar his way through the day in full dinosaur mode! It’s hard to think of a rowdier, more rollicking story and the illustrations – characters as humans on one page, as dinosaurs on the other – are full of wonderful comic detail. Amazingly too it does end with our little dinosaur tucked up in bed asleep. Simultaneously zany and true to life, this is a lovely book for mums and sons to share. ~ Andrea Reece

Dinosaurs Don't Have Bedtimes! by Timothy Knapman

From the author of Soon comes a raucous bedtime read-aloud - brimming with dinosaurs! Mum is trying to get her rather lively dino-obsessed child ready for bed, but this little boy won't go easy ...he's got a dinosaur-themed comeback (and a ROARY action) for everything! Dinosaurs don't have to eat all their dinner, wash their hair or brush their teeth ...so why should he? And as bedtime beckons, the little boy gets more and more lost in his imaginative world...Will mum ever get him to close his eyes? With exuberant, hilarious dinosaur art from shining illustration talent, Nikki Dyson, this is the perfect story for children with wild imaginations (who refuse to go to sleep!).

Dyson's lively illustrations of the dinosaurs in Mo's imaginary world are everything you want them to be: bold, bright and boisterous. There is a lot to talk about on every page and my son enjoyed pointing out the funny things the dinosaurs were getting up to.[...] Full of personality and humour, they perfectly convey the joy, mess and love of everyday family life. * Armadillo *
