Orphaned at a young age, Jane Eyre endures a childhood of abuse and neglect, first at the hands of her aunt and then at boarding school. Eager for independence, Jane accepts a position as a governess at the isolated Thornfield Hall, falling passionately in love with her brooding and mysterious master, Mr Rochester. But the corridors of Thornfield hold a secret that threatens everything Jane holds dear; she must battle to save her future, her integrity and ultimately herself.
