A book that is full of enchantment and pandemonium. The Wizard King is losing his hair and as no King is allowed lose his hair, his son and heir just back from school will have to take over. Poor Florian has little choice but to face up to the monuments challenges ahead which include taming a dragon, flying with feathers, going beneath the earth and fighting a water monster. Fortunately for Florian his friend Laura Jones is organised, sensible and is here to help! Full of witchcraft, wizardry and at times very funny, this book is ideal for young readers.

Wizard's Warning by Hilda Offen

According to an old prophecy, no one can be king of little Twittleburg unless they’ve got a fine head of hair, and his father is getting very thin on top. Not only will Florian have to take over, but first he will have to complete the four tasks – even the one about taming a Dragon! Luckily his best friend Laura Jones is there to help.

About the Author

Hilda Offen
Hilda Offen was born in Surrey and lived for the first part of her life on an entirely self-sufficient small-holding. She attended Reigate School of Art for three years and, when she had saved enough money by working for a printing firm, she became a freelance illustrator and worked for magazines and newspapers. She then did an English degree at University College, London which she enjoyed very much. She illustrated many collections of Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Stories and wrote her first book RITA THE RESCUER. She followed this with two others, OLD WILLIAM AND THE SEVENTH SHEEP and MRS. LAMPKINS LODGER. She then started writing and illustrating her own books and has so far written nine. She works at home, but does some teaching in colleges which she values as it gives her a chance to keep in touch with the children she is writing for. She believes that "any book for children should be capable of firing the imagination." Hilda Offen lives in Sussex.
