Julia Eccleshare's comment:
There’s some good humoured fun in this story about how wishes go dangerously wrong some where deep in the ocean. A fish wishes for many things including a castle and a car – and they arrive. But then, he makes a wish that he soon wishes he had never made! A lovely watery with a funny, rhyming text.
Who is Julia Eccleshare ?
Synopsis
The Fish Who Could Wish by John BushDeep in the ocean lives a fish whose wishes come true! He wishes for all sorts of crazy things - a castle, a car, and even fine clothes to wear. But he is a rather foolish fish and one day he wishes to be just like all the other fish ...perhaps this will be the one wish he wishes he never wished!
Reviews
Wonderful, with amazing underwater scenes really supporting the rhythmic text in which wishes, as always, are badly used.Books For Keeps
Extremely witty, this clever picture book will have children laughing out loud as they read about the amazing wishful fish...Brought to life by superb underwater drawings, this is bound to become a favourite. Practical Parenting
About The Author
John Bush, is not a man who enjoys the spotlight. He did not agree to be photographed for this page. Little did we know this would mean hiding under a hat and behind some ridiculous spectacles and a false moustache. The soft toy snake doubling as an exotic hat band is named Crush, after the python in The Warthog’s Tail, and is John’s constant companion when writing stories.
