The bestselling creator of Mr Gum turns his hand to a wildly fanciful story about a boy with a very unusual power; he can turn himself into a fly. Matthew Buzzington’s adventures including getting locked into school and dealing with the big robber and the little robber. And dealing with becoming a fly. With a reading age of 8+ but an interest age of 9-12, this novel can be enjoyed by the struggling or reluctant reader just as much as by an avid 8 year old reader. To view other titles we think are suitable for reluctant readers please click here.

About The Author
Andy Stanton lives in North London. He studied English at Oxford but they kicked him out. He has been a stand-up comedian, a film script reader, a cartoonist, an NHS lackey and lots of other things.
He has many interests, but best of all he likes cartoons, books and music (even jazz). One day he’d like to live in New York or Berlin or one of those places because he’s got fantasies of bohemia. His favourite expression is ‘good evening’ and his favourite word is ‘captain’. 'You're a Bad Man Mr Gum' is his first book.
