The Lovereading comment:
Meet Babar, a loveable elephant who leaves the jungle for adventures in the big city and makes it all the way to becoming King of the Elephants. The lovely pictures and characters all help to convey the story about how working hard bring you bigger and better rewards.
A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh, always adored the Babar stories:‘If you who are grown-up have never been fascinated by a picture book before then this is the one which will fascinate you. I salute Monsieur Brunhoff. I am at his feet.’
