This is the story of the resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God the Messiah. As the angel said to Mary and the other women, 'He is not here. For he has risen as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay.' Many have the resurrection power while some do not have a clue about what it is or how they can get it. The Bible tells us what we are in Christ Jesus the Lord. We are no more outcasts but now are we the Sons of God. Not children only born of flesh and blood but children born of the Spirit of God.
And they that passed by cursed him, and shook their heads, and said, “You that will destroy the temple, and will rebuild it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”
The chief priests mocked him, with the scribes and elders, and said, ‘“He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him save him now, if he will help him: for he said, I am the Son of God.’”
While Jesus Christ was on earth, he used parables to teach his disciples and the people around him the way to salvation and eternal life. What’s a parable you ask? A parable is simply an earthly story that has a heavenly meaning. This means a parable simply isn’t just any story but it has to be about something that gives us spiritual truth about being servants of Jesus Christ. Most of the parables that Jesus taught his disciples didn’t understand them immediately. They often asked Jesus to tell them the interpretation or meaning of the parable or earthly story that they’d heard. Jesus gave them the answers they’d seek. Other people who heard the parables that the Messiah spoke didn’t quite understand them either, but they knew that he taught them with power and authority and not like the Scribes and Pharisees that were in the Temple (Matthew 7:29). This is what Isaiah had prophesied about concerning Jesus and his parables.
Isaiah 6:10
New King James Version (NKJV)
“Make the heart of this people dull,
And their ears heavy,
And shut their eyes;
Lest they see with their eyes,
And hear with their ears,
And understand with their heart,
And return and be healed.”
