Welcome to Mel and Vicki's flat. You'll have to excuse the noise and the constant interruptions. What with those dirty Sloanes next door, the men's group meeting upstairs and the stay-at-home dads, we can hardly hear the phone ring - and it could well be Mel's agent offering her a role in something tasteful. Luckily Leslie, the show's resident announcer, is on hand to keep things moving and to introduce the variety aspect of the show: perhaps a tap dance, or Armed Forces sweetheart Edie Trinder, or maybe just one of the celebrity voices in Mel's head. This complete collection of the comedy sketch show includes a bonus 45-minute comedy play, 'Hudson and Pepperdine Save the Planet': a comedy disaster about climate change. Written and performed by Mel Hudson and Vicki Pepperdine With Dave Lamb, Martin Hyder, Jim North, Keith Wickham, Peter Serafinowicz, Felix Dexter and Lewis MacLeod Additional material by Martin Hyder, Jim North, Dave Lamb, Jessica Martin, Danny Robins, Richie Devlin and Dan Tetsell, Paul Kerensa and Rhodri Crooks Script editor: Graeme Garden Music by Richard Webb Produced by Helen Williams and Claire Jones (Series 1 and 2), Chris Neill (Series 3 and 4) and Katie Tyrrell (Hudson and Pepperdine Save the Planet)Show more
The complete series 1 and 2 of My First Planet - a sitcom set on a shiny new planet, starring Nicholas Lyndhurst, Vicki Pepperdine (Jo Brand's Getting On) & Tom Goodman-Hill (Another Case of Milton Jones) The story so far: Unfortunately, Burrows the leader of the colony has died on the voyage, so his Number 2, Brian (Nicholas Lyndhurst), is now in charge. He's a nice enough chap, but no alpha male, and his desire to sort things out with a nice friendly meeting infuriates the colony's Chief Physician, Lillian (Vicki Pepperdine), who'd really rather everyone was walking round in tight colour-coded tunics and saluting each other. She's also in charge of Project Adam, the plan to conceive and give birth to the first colony-born baby. Unfortunately, the two people hand-picked for this purpose - Carol and Richard - were rather fibbing about being a couple, just to get on the trip. Add in an entirely unscrupulous Chief Scientist, Mason, and also Archer, an idiot maintenance man who believes he's an 'empath' rather than a plumber, and you're all set to answer the question: If humankind were to colonize space, is it destined to succumb to self-interest, prejudice, and infighting? (By the way, the answer's 'yes'. Sorry.)Show more

Nicholas Lyndhurst and Vicki Pepperdine lead the cast of the BBC Radio 4 sci-fi sitcom set on a shiny new planet, as it returns for a second series. With the leader of the interplanetary colony expedition dead, his Number 2 - Brian - is now in charge. He's a nice enough chap, but his desire to sort things out with a nice friendly meeting infuriates the colony's Chief Physician Lillian, who'd rather everyone was walking round in tight colour-coded tunics saluting each other. She's also in charge of Project Adam, the plan to conceive and give birth to the first colony-born baby. Adding to the joie de vivre are an entirely unscrupulous Chief Scientist and an idiot maintenance man, who believes he's an "empath" rather than a plumber. In these six new episodes the contents of Lillian’s freezer threatens to make the colony's men unnecessary for ever more; a dangerous snuffly cold is let loose; a pub quiz and a talking yam spell disaster; election time arrives; the discovery of a poet amongst the colonists sets off trouble; and a dangerous search-and-rescue mission is launched on the planet’s surface. Also featuring Tom Goodman-Hill, Phil Whelans, John Dorney and full cast.Show more
