A & J Books is a women owned small business run by two sisters and moms of boys. We design scissor activity books, journals, and planners for families to have a creative outlet at home or on the go. We were inspired by the shift we all experienced in 2020; took the resources we personally used to cope with the loss of our father and parenting during a pandemic, to create a business that could help out others.Design Director: "A" is a stay at home mom that spent the last few years teaching her son through creative play, art, & cooking from scratch. Prior to becoming a mom, she was the head of operations for a women's clothing line in Los Angeles. She took her first art class at 5 & has always had an artistic eye ever since. When J mentioned publishing, she immediately thought about making children's products that provided a variety of ways to learn because she felt that there was something lacking within the scissor book genre.
