I was born in Exeter, Devon in 1972, and from an early age I discovered I had an overwhelming desire and passion to creating something. Whether it be a colourful abstract painting, a fine ink illustration or a piece of poetry, the overriding passion, mixed with my imagination and energetic attitude was to try and express myself creatively. In February of 2019 I completed my first children's story - The Spiky & Spiny Night Time Adventures of Nikky & Flick. After that story was accepted for publication, I felt that the next most natural progression for me would involve trying to create a longer piece of work. So, Friday Night is Fish Supper Night is my debut teen fiction novel. This story reflects on a number of issues that I myself have faced and confronted over a twenty-five-year period. So, to finally feel able to write such a relevant, partly personal story of past, and to some degree present feelings and emotions has for me been a very cathartic experience.
