Christina Minaki graduated with a Master's degree in Information Studies from the University of Toronto in 2004 and worked briefly as a librarian at York University's Glendon College, where she had earned her B.A. in English Literature in 2001. She is a strong advocate for the rights of women, children, and people with disabilities, and one of the main purposes of her writing is to give a voice to the need for all forms of equality. She lives and writes in Toronto, where she reviews books for Canadian Children's Book News, and enjoys horseback riding, reading, traveling, and spending time with her nephew.
