E McGlinn was born in Scotland; she currently lives there with her family. She started her career as an Engineer, and with a great love of life-long learning has spent many years studying with the Open University and also has a BSc (OPEN). Her love of children's books emerged when reading to her young daughter, who was her inspiration for penning her debut children's picture book.
