Eithne Loughrey has worked as a drama teacher in Ireland and abroad, and as a sub-editor with the Sunday Tribune. She worked as a features writer with the Irish Independent until 1995. Two previous titles in the Annie Moore series, Annie Moore: First in Line for America (1999) and Annie Moore: The Golden Dollar Girl (2000) were both published by Mercier Press.
