Born in Southern California, Kaitlyn McGauley now resides in Sonoma County with her two children, where she works full-time in health care. After the birth of her now ten-year-old daughter and realizing the lack of diversity in children's books, Kaitlyn was determined to write a story with characters her children could identify proudly with. Kissed by the Sun, Hugged by the Moon is Kaitlyn's first children's book and one that she hopes will find its way into the heart and homes of many.
