ABOUT THE AUTHOR Award-winning journalist, science writer, and former host of CBC Manitoba's Living Winnipeg, Mary McCown lives in rural Quebec, where she has experienced first-hand the challenges and rewards of learning a second language. She lives with her husband, two sons, four dogs, eight chickens, two goats, and a bunch of honeybees. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Up and coming illustrator and graphic designer, Madison B. Bedwell is trained in over a dozen mediums. His art has been the subject of several documentaries produced by the University of Alabama and is on display in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Seattle, Washington. Madison lives in Alabama with his dog, Ace, and his cat, Athena.
