Born and raised in a small town in Texas, Sommer was taught from a young age to appreciate the great outdoors. Now married with three children, she continues to make outdoor activities a staple for family fun and adventure. She is a member of NRA Women, National Wild Turkey Federation's Women in the Outdoors, and the Boone and Crockett Club.
