He served as Director of Research (FAC) for two and half years, Associate Dean College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati for 3 years and Head of the Department of Anatomy, College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati for 12 years. Dr. Rao was Member, Board of Management, KVAFSU, Academic Council, TANUVAS and KVAFSU, Sectoral Committee of Accreditation Board of ICAR, Governing Council, NAVS for two terms, Advisory Body of NationalTesting Agency, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for All India ICAR-UG, PG and JRF/SRF Examination and advisory body of VCI, FAO Fellow at Cornell University, USA, President, Indian Assoc. of Vet.
