Tristan Motteram was born in Wigan, England, in 1986. He joined the Army at the age of 19, before leaving to settle down in Cheltenham, England. There he met his wife, Helen, with whom he shared a love of animals. It was after Helen brought home a scruffy little bird that he had the idea to rediscover his passion for writing, creating a children's book based on this new addition to their family (initially as a gift to his wife, the adopting 'mother' of Russell Crow, the rook). This sparked another book and soon the idea for a series was born - a series which simply had to be published and shared...
