At LoveReading4Kids and LoveReading4Schools, we’ve always believed that supporting children as readers is a shared endeavour. Schools, charities, teachers, families and the wider sector all play a vital role. We all have a critical part to play. And when we work together, the impact is far greater. We are stronger together.

As we continue to charge through the National Year of Reading 2026, we have been busy deepening our work with fellow literacy partners to create something more joined up, more visible and more effective for schools.

A more connected approach to literacy

The literacy landscape is rich with expertise, energy and innovation - but it can also feel fragmented. It can be difficult to keep up with the huge amount of information being shared, the researchj being commissioned, the myriad of initiatives being launched, never mind the deluge of books being published each and every month. That's where we come in.

Schools are often navigating multiple organisations, campaigns and resources, all working towards the same goal. Our partnership work is focused on changing that.

Through the LoveReading4Schools platform, we are bringing together literacy charities, educators and organisations into a more connected ecosystem - making it easier for schools to discover, access and benefit from the support available.

Amplifying the work of our partners

We already work closely with a wide range of organisations across the sector - from the National Literacy Trust, to Chapter One, the UK Literacy Association to the School Library Association and many more.

Through editorial features, booklists, campaigns and events, we help amplify:

  • Research and reports
  • Reading initiatives and programmes
  • Classroom resources
  • National campaigns and key moments

This means that schools can access trusted, relevant content in one place - while partners can reach a highly engaged audience of teachers, librarians and families.

Creating a single front door for schools

A key part of our work is building what we see as a “single front door” for literacy support.

Rather than organisations working in isolation, we are creating a space where:

  • Schools can easily find high-quality support
  • Charities can connect directly with practitioners
  • Campaigns can reach the children who need them most

This approach helps reduce duplication, increase visibility and ensure that great work across the sector has the impact it deserves.

The National Year of Reading represents a once-in-a-decade opportunity to reignite reading for pleasure across the UK. We have got to maximise it. We have got to grab it with both hands. We see part of our role at LoveReading as to sit within this to act as a connector and amplifier - bringing together partners, aligning messaging and ensuring that familiies and schools are supported with the very best thinking, resources and inspiration.

We’re already working closely with partners across the sector to coordinate campaigns and key moments, develop co-branded content and resources, and share valuable insights and research with schools. Together, we are helping to build a stronger, more visible national conversation around reading - one that is joined up, impactful and focused on supporting every child to become a reader.

Why this matters for schools

For schools, this means easier access to trusted literacy expertise, high-quality, classroom-ready resources, and a broader range of approaches to reading for pleasure - all within a more coherent and supportive literacy landscape.

Ultimately, it’s about making it simpler to find what works - and ensuring every child has the opportunity to become a reader. So dive into our Literacy Partners section of LoveReading4Kids right now, and view some of our partner organisations. We are working closely to keep you up-to-date.

If you’re working in literacy and would like to explore how we can work together, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can build a more connected, collaborative and impactful future for reading.
