Anyone who read Ghostcloud will be dashing out to get the conclusion to this gripping story.
It’s been months since Luke and his fellow shovellers escaped from Battersea Power Station as ghosts tore off the roof. But he knows that evil Tabatha Margate, the power station’s owner, is still out there and, worse, his best friend Ravi is missing too, probably sold to Europe. In his new role as an apprentice detective, Luke discovers what could be clues to Tabatha’s whereabouts.
His boss isn’t interested, so Luke decides to follow things up himself, with the help of his friend, ghost Alma.
If anything, the story is even more of a page-turner than Ghostcloud, full of nail-biting moments, while the settings are as magical as ever, from the gloomy ‘other’ London to the decks of ships and zeppelins, all wreathed in smoke. It builds to a tremendous climax, under a sky full of ghosts.
Having escaped from the half-bombed, blackened power station where he was being imprisoned, 12-year-old Luke is finally reunited with his family above ground.
