The Persephone Girls

The Persephone Girls Synopsis

Four Queens of the Dead try to find their way back to Hell in this extraordinary gothic, feminist fantasy set in a mythology-inspired world. You must look for girls who can wear darkness like a cloak and crown themselves with light. Who can dance in a boneyard and kill in a meadow of fresh flowers. Then you know you've found a Persephone Girl.As Persephone Girls, Maylar, Sasi, Will and Hebe are next in line to be Queens of the Dead.

The sisters spend half the year in the glittering Underworld, attending lavish parties and learning death magic, and the other half in the realm of the living, practising their spring powers in a cosy cottage and getting into unwise romantic entanglements with mortals. But now a dark magic is stopping the Persephone Girls from getting home to Hell.Trapped in the above, surrounded by restless spirits and dangerous new enemies, the Persephone Girls are determined to untangle the truth from the lies and the traitors from the loyal.

But some mysteries may be better left for the dead.
