When bunny first meets bird, it is spring. Glorious, beautiful spring. And the two quickly become fast friends, doing all the good things friends like to do in the spring (sing and hop) and summer (chase fireflies) and fall (play in the leaves). But, birds migrate in the fall-this one does, anyway-and even though the bird explains the phenomenon to the bunny and promises to return, the bunny is worried about being lonely. The bunny is worried that the bird won't come back. Friendship, the seasons, loyalty, and patience are on center stage here, in a heartbreakingly beautiful book that is illustrated with cut-paper collages.
