When Tootles the Turtle wanders too near the edge of the lake, a gluttonous gator bites off one of her hind legs. The imposing gator warns Tootles, Dont tell a soulOR ELSE! Not ONE SOULor Ill come back and eat your other legs one by one, andFINALLYIll have your Mommy for dessert!Of course, Tootles takes the alligator at his word. She doesnt tell a soul about the warningespecially not her mommy, for fear of losing her.
