Reading Champion: Layla's New House

Reading Champion: Layla's New House Synopsis

This story is part of Reading Champion, a series carefully linked to book bands to encourage independent reading skills, developed with Dr Sue Bodman and Glen Franklin of UCL Institute of Education (IOE)

In this story, Layla is moving to a new house. She is sad about leaving her old house and worried about how she will feel in a strange new place. But as she unpacks, she soon realises that you can make a new place feel like home. Reading Champion offers independent reading books for children to practise and reinforce their developing reading skills.

Fantastic stories are accompanied by engaging artwork and a reading activity. Each book has been carefully graded so that it can be matched to a child's reading ability, encouraging reading for pleasure. This book is suitable for children aged 4+ or reading and book band blue 4 (book bands are a levelling system widely used in schools to track a child's reading progression).
