For out of his nostrils flies an elephant in a canoe – yes, you read that right, and it’s a pink elephant too. As they paddle along, Sid sneezes again and this time out flies a pirate ship and a small treasure island. The sneezes keep coming and the consequences keep getting bigger and more ridiculous.
It’s a joy from start to surprise finish and Nathan Reed’s illustrations easily match the inventive anarchy of Simon Philip’s text. Youngsters will love it, though if you’re looking for a book to improve etiquette, this might not be it ….
