I Am a Growl

I Am a Growl Synopsis

A brand new series, Preschool Pretend, from Kari-Lynn Winters.
I Am a Growl is a high-energy, performative read-aloud where children become growl-y, rowl-y, animals that sneak, lumber, sprint, and reach.

With clues in the words and face painted faces, children guess each animal. Perfect for classrooms, homes, and birthday or Halloween celebrations.

I am a growl.
Prowling through the grass, my stripes hide me- shhhhh.
I am a...
TIGER!

With lively, rhythmic text that's perfect for reading aloud, I Am a Growl introduces children to animals that growl and the wild places they live. Kids don't just read this book-they embody it, becoming the animals, growling, sneaking, sprinting, and pouncing along the way. These movements align with kindergarten and primary curricula (e.g., drama, dance, physical education).

Author Kari-Lynn Winters explores an exciting new story format designed especially for children who are just beginning to discover the world around them. Her energetic, engaging text invites active participation and inspires young minds to grow through curiosity and imagination.
