This magical story begins with three friends, who are unhappy on the farm where they live. Pal knows how to reach this safe haven, so the three friends set off on their journey as runaways. Along the way they meet their guides. First there is a Galoak, a little wooden man, who makes them see how beautiful the world is. Their next guide is a grumpy badger, but here it is the friends who turn him into a happy and very interesting one through the adventures, which involves fighting giant moles, they share with him.
