The Moon's Gorgonzola

The Moon's Gorgonzola Synopsis

In this vibrant and bouncy new collection, Debra Bertulis focuses on poetry for younger children (Key Stage 1, and up to Key Stage 2). Within its pages you'll find poems that are reflective and soothing, as well as poems for performance, rhyming poems, silly poems, puzzle poems and 'carpet' poems. This is a book both for school and home.

Debra writes about everyday life and the strange, funny and sometimes sad things that can happen in both of those places. Debra says, "Writing The Moon's Gorgonzola has been a real joy. I'm a great believer that poetry for younger children should be accessible, with language they can understand and topics they can relate to.

I also wanted the book to have a strong sense of fun and enjoyment - to light the 'poetry spark' that lurks in all of us!"
