Kakak is torn between protecting the precious, secret butterflies his father showed him and selling them to collectors to feed his family.
Eventually, hunger proves to be stronger than the butterflies' magic. What if the village could come together to find a way to save the beauty of the environment and help disadvantaged families survive?
Based on the writer's own experience, My Butterfly Secret tells of the struggle many impoverished children experience, trading precious parts of their home for a full stomach. These families are caught between protecting the nature they love and their own survival. This story offers understanding--and a solution.
