Tales from Acorn Wood Little Library

A lovely little learning set!

These books were awesome!I liked all of the friends in Acorn Wood and all of the pictures. The numbers and the colours were fun to learn and look at.

Sarah (mother): My four-year-old thoroughly enjoyed reading these board books. Lovely to see the Acorn Wood characters which made it more accessible for him. The words were simple enough for him to try reading some of them but not too basic that it was boring. They had little sentence stories attached to the learning which made it so much more interesting and appealing. I think this set would be equally appealing for little ones learning to recognise letters, numbers and colours, as those who are starting to try and read words alone. Fun, sweet and interesting.

Tales from Acorn Wood is a gorgeous small box set of 4 books from Julia Donaldson. The books are for younger starter readers and they are in the classic Julia Donaldson style with gorgeous illustrations. A lovely introduction to Julia Donaldson stories for the younger reader.

Julia Donaldson's Tales from Acorn Wood is a lovely little box set of books.
The books are titled:
Colours,
Opposites,
Friends,
Opposites
The books start the younger reader off on a lovely learning journey and they are great for beginner readers.
The set would make a lovely gift as a small present and is perfect for carrying in travel/handbags.

Lovely little gift set to help toddlers learn about Colours, Counting, Friends, & Opposites.

Our youngest was delighted with this little box set, full of illustrations that he recognises from other works by Axel Scheffler and Julia Donaldson. At two-and-a-half years old, he's clearly nowhere near ready to read them by himself yet, but we've had great fun going through them together and talking about what we can see, and our older two boys (seven-and-a-half and five-and-a-half) have enjoyed reading them wtih him too. They're small but he loves them that way as they're so easy for him to carry round, and the little cardboard box they come in help keep them safe together. They'd make a really nice gift for a toddler who enjoys sharing books witht their family.
