How to Survive Time Travel

How To Survive Time Travel has great characters and lots of problem solving, so you won’t be able to put it down. The time travel sofa is especially funny and powering time travel with a pyramid full of parrot poo sounds perfectly logical.

This is a very good book; it is very funny, and it has a great plot line. It is a fast paced and exiting adventure that leaves you wanting the next one immediately after you finish it because it ends on a cliff hanger. It is a great follow-on from the first book in the series How to Survive Without Grown-ups and has funny illustrations that you could copy yourself if you wanted to draw it.
I especially liked the garden sky diving, I thought that was very funny and I would love to try it. The huge amount of parrot poo in the pyramid and the jungle in Egypt was very clever, as well as the time travel car. I like the way the book mixes real science with fantastical ideas. This book would appeal to fans of ‘Barry Loser’ and ‘Future Rat Boy’ because it has got the same style of humour and layout to those books.
The writing is very descriptive, and the author has referenced history quite a lot so you certainly would learn something from this book. How To Survive Time Travel has great characters and lots of problem solving, so you won’t be able to put it down. The time travel sofa is especially funny and sounds perfectly logical.

This book was hilarious, and as soon as I got it I could not put it down. This is the second book in the series, and I'm waiting for the next book.

Johnnie and Eliza's parents go missing, and so start an adventure, taking them back in time. They meet a rainbow sphinx, snakes and a strange boy... Can Eliza and Johnnie end another plot to destroy the world?

This book was hilarious, and as soon as I got it I could not put it down. This is the second book in the series, and I'm waiting for the next book: How To Survive The Future. There are lots of silly cartoons in the book, and I loved the pictures. To summarise, I would recommend this book to all those who love funny and silly time travelling stories.

I give this book 5 stars and think that all children who like funny adventure books will enjoy this book.

This is an hilarious adventure book about two kids, Eliza and Johnnie, trying to save their parents who accidentally went back in time to Egypt in 5000 BCE! This is the second book in the How to Survive series. Even though I hadn’t read the first book, I could still understand what was happening and follow the story and now I really want to read the first book too.

As well as the story being very exciting, there are some really funny and cool notes and cartoons throughout the book that bring different parts of the story to life. You will feel like you are part of the story, helping Eliza, Johnnie and their dog Myrt, to rescue their parents and survive Sadie Snickpick along the way!

I give this book 5 stars and think that all children who like funny adventure books will enjoy this book. It is easy to get lost in the book once you start reading. I was reading it for twenty minutes and it only felt like five! I can't wait to go on more adventures with Eliza and Johnnie.

A laugh out loud time-travelling adventure that will leave you eager for the next installment in the series.

A lost remote control, the school bully to beat all school bullies and a school-boy god who is not what he seems are all conspiring to stop Eliza and Johnnie from rescuing their lost time-travelling parents from ancient Egypt. But can the siblings succeed before the world is blown to smithereens by bird poo?
This second volume in Larry Hayes’s series finds heroes, Eliza and Johnny, back on Earth after rescuing their parents and the planet from deranged arch villain Noah in book one (How to Survive without Grown-Ups). However, just as life is settling back to normal their parents disappear and only our heroes can save them. Or can they?
This gripping and hilarious adventure book is perfect for fans of David Soloman (My Brother is an Alien) and Jennifer Killick (the Alex Sparrow) series but is also one that I will definitely be recommending to my more reluctant readers and those looking to move on from Diary of a Wimpy Kid and David Walliams. Full of twists, turns and, ultimately, a cliffhanger that will leave you desperate to read the next book in the series, Larry Hayes has written a story that will have children laughing out loud and gripped from start to finish in this unpredictable page turner with extra giggles provided by Katie Abey’s illustrations.

A fun, funny and interesting book; full of lovely descripition and amazing characters. A hilarious book all about travelling in time.

When Eliza and her genius younger brother, Jonnie's, parents disappear, they have to build a time-machine to save them and the present worl by going 7,000 years into the past! Except there are a few small obstacles to overcome: a peculiar boy-god, a strange rainbow coloured sphinx, hungry snakes and ANOTHER plot to destroy the world. But -most importantly- will they be able to survive time-travel?

This book is filled with wit, humour and a lot of parrot poop! I would recommend this book for people who are interested in time-travel.
