The Misadventures of Mina Mahmood: School Trip! is an engaging and humorous book that follows the adventures of Mina and her best friends, Reema and Mobeen, during an overnight school trip to Shiremoor Oaks Adventure Centre. Their excitement is dampened by scary tales of Bertie Blackteeth, a legendary figure said to haunt the surrounding woods, sharpening her toenails with twigs and preying on unsuspecting victims with a penchant for cheese-and-onion crisps.

This book is well-suited for readers aged 8 and up, with a balance of humour and suspense that keeps the audience engaged. The layout, reminiscent of popular series like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, makes it accessible and enjoyable for all.

Really good book, great story and characters, funny and a bit scary. Definitely need to read it.
I really like The Misadventures of Mina Mahmood, she always keeps you on your toes in the book. The story is funny and brilliant. I love all the characters in the book and the drawings are really good.

This book will take you on the adventure of your life. It is a wonderful tale of true friendship, ghostly goings on, deadly enemies, and jokes that make you want to laugh out loud.
I think this book is perfect for young readers as the language used is easy to understand, yet impactful. I found I could relate to this story for it was very similar to the untrue myths that float around during most residentials. It was a warm, witty book and I fell in love with the characters straight away.
There is a point in the book when the mystery of Bertie Blackteeth deepens. It becomes a tense tale that you cannot put down. However, it never feels too dark as the comedy woven in is comforting and lightens the mood. The illustrations match the story perfectly and they portray the characters just how the reader would imagine them to be. It is a brilliant book for readers who have just started out on their reading journey. It transports you into the world of the loveable Mina Mahmood and her friends and family.
An exciting adventure for you to enjoy
There are three main characters in this story, the main character is Mina. They go on a school trip and get lost and find a creepy cabin.
In the story people believe in a person called Bertie Blackteeth…. But you will have to read it to find out the truth.
The book was really interesting, a tiny bit scary but entertaining and kept me turning the pages. It was easy to read by myself in three nights so a good option for other 7 year olds.
