This book was AMAZING! I couldn’t stop reading it. I loved Skandar and the Skeleton Curse so much – it’s full of magic, unicorns (but not the cute fluffy ones – these ones are wild and awesome!), and so many exciting twists.
Skandar is such a cool character - brave, clever and doesn’t give up even when things get super scary. I also liked his friends, especially Flo and Bobby – they’re such a good team. I wish I could go to the Eyrie and ride a unicorn with them!
The story was really exciting from the start - battles, mysteries, secrets, and the Skeleton Curse was soooo creepy and cool at the same time. I loved how there was always something going on.
I also liked the way the author wrote about friendship and working together, and how Skandar keeps trying to do the right thing even when it's really hard.
If you like adventure, magic, and awesome creatures, you HAVE to read this book, but beware, you'll be obsessed like me and want to read them all in one go!!
I could not put it down
It is an adventurous book and it is exciting. The new weaver makes up a curse and tries to harm the unicorns. Skandar is so brave and makes it into the chaos cup. Flo at the end of the book betrays Skandar. There is and exciting storyline which is great and I love it. There are loads of amazing adventures. Skandar is courageous and speaks against his sister Kenna. I really enjoyed reading it and found it impossible to stop reading. The story leaves you at a bit of a cliffhanger at the end and I really want to find out more and to keep reading because it's exciting and adventurous. I could not put it down and I can't wait for the Spirt War to come out!
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, I honestly didn't think they could get any better. Cannot wait for book number 5 .
This fourth book of the series is brilliant. I have loved reading every single page. I didn't think it could get any better and then out comes the flaming fireballs, I mean wow, flaming fireballs. I feel like I am a part of the story. The quartet is quickly growing up, there are now cursed unicorns and keen is completely out of control. It's time for skandar to face his fears. Looking forward to book number 5.

Skandar and his friends are beginning their fourth year at the eyrie and everything would be fine, if Rex Manning wasn’t commodore. Everything would be okay, if Kenna wasn’t the weaver’s successor, taking out revenge on the island. Everything would be alright if the skeleton curse wasn’t real. If it was just a story, a myth, something that wasn’t true. Except it wasn’t. Bonded unicorns are turning wild and it’s all Kenna’s fault. She made the skeleton curse. She made it so that riders were left alone and hopeless without their unicorns. She made it so that the island was in chaos, but she just didn’t care. No one knows what to do and the island is in despair. Rex Manning is making new ‘protective’ rules every day and no-ones stopping him or doing anything to stop the skeleton curse from raging havoc on the island. It's up to Skandar and his friends to stop it before its too late. But can they do it in time?
I really enjoyed the adventure in this book and the feeling that you were going on the edge of your seat mystery with Skandar and his friends too. Overall I would say that this book (and the series in fact) is great, would recommend!
Adventures galore in this latest book. Great plot twist we didn’t see coming.
Further adventures in this the latest book of the series. I feel we now know the characters well and can almost feel the emotions emitting from each page.
The adventures continue and when Kenna causes bad things to happen we were gripped to see how this would carry out.
The twist at the end had us shocked in a good way, we didn’t see that coming.
