The Lovereading4Kids comment

A pacy, compelling thriller with a strong plot and believable characters inspired by the child characters mentioned only briefly in the original Sherlock Holmes stories. Really evocative of the streets of Victorian London, this is a series that is likely to run and run. Philip Pullman called it a ‘rattling good yarn’. Tim Pigott-Smith is known the world over as the voice behind numerous audio books. He has also acted in a James Bond film, whilst the illustrator Chris Mould is fast becoming one of the UK’s best-known illustrators for children’s books.

Synopsis

Rescued by Sam Wiggins, Billy agrees to help Sam stop the plans of the infamous Dragon Clan of Shanghai to spread their criminal activities to London.
