Geboren am 29. November 1963 in Euskirchen, lebt Ralf Kramp heute in Üdersdorf in der Vulkaneifel. Sein erster Kurzkrimi erschien 1994 im Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, und sein erster Kriminalroman zwei Jahre später. Für sein Debüt Tief unterm Laub erhielt er den Förderpreis des Eifel-Literaturfestivals. Seither erschienen mehrere Kriminalromane, unter anderem auch die Reihe um den kauzigen Helden Herbie Feldmann und seinen unsichtbaren Begleiter Julius, die mittlerweile deutschlandweit eine große Fangemeinde hat.
