Suspend disbelief and throw yourself into an action packed, creepy tale. 16 year old Gabe finds himself on the wrong side of an ambitious drug dealer in Los Angeles and life takes an even sharper turn for the worse when he wakens a menacing, murdering apparition, obsessed with locating what has been lost. The author doesn't always explain every action or reaction, he allows the story to race ahead, maintaining suspense and encouraging the readers own imagination to run riot. Highlighting friendship and loyalty, ‘Bad Bones’ also proves that it can sometimes be very difficult to repair a wrong and initiate a right. Surrender to the story as it tears off into the realms of scary fantasy, but DON’T whatever you do, surrender to the sinister evil that has surfaced and refuses to die. ~ Liz Robinson

An absolutely gripping spy adventure packed full of mystery, intrigue and high paced drama. It combines the action-packed exploits of Alex Rider, with the historical advnetures of Young Indiana Jones, in a classic story of one boy's fight to find his father. Trey is off on the Orient Express to take a tour of Europe with his father. Even before the train has left the Gare de Lyon, Trey has a strong feeling that he is being watched… Should he behave like Trent ‘Pistol’ Gripp, his favourite fictional character, and confront the man. Soon Trey has to take brave decisions of his own – when he finds himself on the run in very dangerous circumstances. Talking about his new book Graham says: ‘I Spy gets its inspiration from a number of places, not least is just the idea of Constantinople; it was so exotic and seemed to exemplify the whole spy genre. And that’s why the book is set in 1927, because Constantinople’s name was changed to Istanbul in 1930.’ Graham travelled to Istanbul to research the book: ‘a lot of the city hadn’t changed much since the time when the story takes place. I came back with a head full of history, and an imagination totally fired up and ready to go.’ Graham also acknowledged a debt to the pulp fiction era which he loves †John Buchan stories, Erskine Childers’ ‘Riddle of the Sands’, tales by Anthony Hope and Eric Ambler – the fantastic covers and ripâ€snorting storytelling. ‘I see I Spy as a roaring homage to all of this’ Marks said.

Brilliantly imagined, the futuristic city of Kai-ro forms a vivid backdrop to the thrilling story of one boy’s fight against the ancient forces of darkness. It is a compelling story by an author at the height of his storytelling powers. Graham Marks says that the book was born out of the lasting presence of the Egyptian Gods and his two trips, one to the Egyptian section in the British Museum and the other to the Great Pyramids in Egypt. His imaginings as a consequence of his ‘meetings’ with a statue of a dog, of the great pharaohs and Cairo itself gave him a mind full of ideas and beliefs that have ended up in this terrific adventure. A piece of passion from the Editor:When I first picked up this amazing book I couldn’t stop reading it. I love the mysterious world of the future and the way it’s linked with the ancient Egyptian past. And Stretch Wilson is a true hero, caught in the epic battle between good and evil.
