Julia Hubery was born in Stamford and trained as an architect. She loves the countryside and nature, finding it a pool of inspiration to draw on in her writing. Julia now lives in Northumberland with her husband and three children and hopes one day to get back to doing pottery - once her children have all grown up! She has published 12 picture books, translated into many languages.

Illustrator Sean Julian was born and raised in a small village in Derbyshire. He studied art at the local Art College in Mansfield, and then moved to Bristol to study illustration at the University of the West of England. Sean spends most of his working life illustrating children's books, including the LITTLE REX books for Piccadilly.
