Jeff Kinney visits UK fans with his Wimpy Kid Big Shot Drive-Thru

Jeff Kinney will be visiting our shores this month to deliver his Big Shot Drive-Thru, a first of its kind family-friendly outdoor experience themed around Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot!

To celebrate the release of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot, the 16th book in the global hit series, Jeff Kinney, the number one international best-selling writer and illustrator of the Wimpy Kid series, will be visiting UK fans for the first time in over two years.

Following two innovative, unique and fun-filled book signing drive-thru tours during the pandemic in the US, for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End and Rowley Jefferson’s Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories, Jeff is embarking on his third drive-thru tour for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot. Laughter is guaranteed as the tour goes global, with Jeff Kinney now hitting the road in the UK!

Join the events, hosted in partnership with Authors Aloud UK at Wolverhampton Grammar School & Hoe Bridge School. Load up your car with your family and friends and joining a conga line of vehicles for a meet-the-author experience like no other.

The Big Shot Drive-Thru brings the world of Wimpy Kid to life directly to fans. From the comfort and safety of their own vehicle, families will drive through the sports-themed experience where they will follow beloved characters Greg and Rowley and search for hidden sports, shoot and score, slam dunk and strive for a medal, all before reaching the finish line where Jeff Kinney personally delivers children their signed copies of Big Shot. About Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot

Greg is back, and this time it’s clear that Greg Heffley and sports just don’t mix. After a disastrous field day competition at school, Greg decides that when it comes to his athletic career, he’s officially retired. But after his mum urges him to give sports one more chance, he reluctantly agrees to sign up for basketball. Tryouts are a mess, and Greg is sure he won’t make the cut. But he unexpectedly lands a spot on the worst team.

As Greg and his new teammates start the season, their chances of winning even a single game look slim. But in sports, anything can happen. When everything is on the line and the ball is in Greg’s hands, will he rise to the occasion? Or will he blow his big shot?

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series continues to provide fans old and new with side-splitting and much-loved stories they can’t wait to get their hands on. Over 250 million copies of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series have been sold worldwide. The Wimpy Kid books have been sold in 79 editions in 65 languages.
