Fearless The Story of Daphne Caruana Galizia

Gattaldo Press Reviews

This book powerfully captures Daphne's story of incredible courage and persistence, and will inspire the next generation to continue her fight for truth and justice. -- Reporters without Borders - Rebecca Vincent

It coruscates in the way it tells this true story. At once there is a deep, strongly-felt passion for the woman that shines out brightly...there is also - not overtly, but still there below the surface - the roaring anger about how something so good and beautiful could be taken from us. Become friends with the book, listen to the truth of its message, hold this story in your hands and your heart. - A Few to Read

It really is special. -- Jon Biddle - Twitter

A picture book that reminds me why we need picture books: to tell stories about inspirational people. This story...will stay with me for a long time. -- Jo Bowers - Associate Dean, Cardiff Metropolitan University

Should be in every primary school collection. - Red Reading Hub

This is no ordinary picture book but one with a clear message, and motive - to show that Daphne's life was not in vain. In a time in which people's freedoms are being eroded, it is more important than ever that people are there to scrutinise leadership and governance, and who better to impassion in that venture than the next generation? - Books for Keeps 5-star review

I love the power of this book...the message is clear and simple: fight injustice; do not give up, be true to yourself. But it is the images that make the book so powerful, conveying the difficult message symbolically, without being overly frightening. - Juno

A gold star achievement for a picture book: a wholly age-appropriate account of the extraordinary life of Maltese human rights activist, Daphne Caruana Galizia. The book explores complex ideas...It shows the vital importance of truth-seeking - of asking questions rather than accepting lies, of standing up for justice. - Amnesty International - Top books to inspire young activists
